The management of Adeshina College of Education has taken disciplinary action against four students involved in a violent altercation that occurred within their residential neighborhood. The incident, which reportedly led to property damage and public disturbance, was deemed a serious breach of the institution’s code of conduct and student ethics.
According to an official memo released from the Office of the Registrar on November 7th, 2025, the students listed below have been placed on indefinite suspension with immediate effect:
1. Romoke Mary Osuntoki – AD/25/INBI/0048
2. Saheed Mufidat Oriyomi – AD/25/INBI/-----
3. Abdul Fatai Islamiyat – AD/25/INBI/-----
4. Isiaq Rodiah Agbeke – AD/25/BED/0012
The college management stated that the students were engaged in a dangerous physical fight that escalated into violence, resulting in destruction of property and public embarrassment to the school community. Their actions were found to be in direct violation of the college rules, as stated in the official student handbook.
The memo emphasized that despite prior guidance and counseling opportunities, the students "have demonstrated that they are not amenable to wise counsel," which led to the decision for indefinite suspension.
The suspended students have also been instructed to:
Stay away from school premises, effective immediately
Leave the surrounding town/community
Inform their parents or guardians without delay
Take full responsibility for all damages caused
While four students were identified as the main offenders, another four students who were part of the situation — though not actively involved in the violence — have reportedly been assigned disciplinary community service duties on campus.
This will include campus sanitation and restorative conduct assignments, intended to reinforce responsibility and the importance of maintaining peace in the school environment.
This measure serves as both a correctional approach and a reminder of the role every student plays in safeguarding the reputation and harmony of the campus.
The situation has left many students shocked and concerned — especially as the college rarely issues suspensions of this severity. This moment calls for reflection across the student body.
